Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy (English)
This describes how the iPhone app "Sanpo Meiten" (the "App") handles information.
Location
The App uses your iPhone's location to find nearby places. While a walk is running ("Start a walk"), it also uses your location with the screen off to notify you of nearby places, only if you allow it. To search, the App sends approximate coordinates, a search radius and genres through our proxy server (Cloudflare) to the HotPepper Gourmet Web Service (Recruit Co., Ltd.). We have no mechanism to store or log the coordinates.
Information stored on your device
Your "Want to go" / "Been there" records, ratings and filters are stored only on your iPhone. The developer does not receive them. There is no account.
Maps and search
Apple Maps (MapKit) is used for the map and for searching nearby sights and shopping places. Tapping a pin or a shop opens a Google search for its name in your browser, which is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Ads
The App shows banner ads using Google AdMob. Google may handle your device's advertising identifier to show ads. It is used for tracking only if you allow it in iOS "Allow Tracking". Ads are shown even if you decline.
Third parties
We do not provide your information to third parties other than as described above.
